Lawrence Carmen is currently an OTA/S at LBCC. Lawrence goes by he/him/they pronouns and is homegrown from Portland, OR. His many passions range from supporting elders, discovering alternative methods to support the deaf community, and advocating for increased DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) wareness in healthcare. Further, his leadership skills as LBCC's 2022 SOTA Club President and volunteerism with OTAO's very own student archiving project will serve him well in his future as a future practitioner of occupational therapy.

Sarah Beattie

“Occupational Therapy should be at the forefront of many emerging practice areas as it is a philosophy and discipline founded on adaptation. I cannot think of one population to whom Occupational Therapy could not be of service.”

Gabrielle Laney

“Occupational Therapy with a client-centered intervention method allows our clients to feel heard and worked with and not on. It is in this way that Occupational therapy will rise to the forefront of emerging practice and become a highly considered option for therapeutic, holistic, and competent care.”
