For our first in-person conference since 2019, we're celebrating the act of connection -- a core value of Occupational Therapy. This year we're looking at the future and asking:
How can Occupational Therapy adapt to suit our clients' changing needs?
What are the best strategies to retain the central tenets of OT as we continue to embrace emerging practice areas?
Presenter DEI Responsibility
OTAO continues our work towards creating a community and society that is equitable, inclusive, and proudly celebrates its diversity. We do not take this role lightly, and expect our presenters to do the same. OTAO requests that each presenter includes discussion considerations and variables of diversity, equity and inclusion related to their discussion. Each presenter may request a free consultation with the OTAO DEI team to ensure they are able to meet this responsibility: email@example.com
Details & Considerations
Each presentation will be one hour, unless determined otherwise in conjunction with the OTAO Conference Committee. The OTAO Conference Committee will evaluate and select proposals that are relevant to the scope of occupational therapy (foundational knowledge, service delivery, and professional issues). Please note that your submission is on a volunteer-basis and, if selected, OTAO will not be able to give an honorarium. Oregon OT practitioners who present will receive two contact hours for their professional presentation (see OAR 339-020-0020).
